Mesothelioma Cancer Law
Cancer laws regarding mesothelioma cancer are still being debated
today. Because mesothelioma is such a ‘new’ disease
(it wasn’t until the 1970s when asbestos exposure was linked
directly to mesothelioma), mesothelioma cancer laws have been a
long time coming.
The latest legislation on mesothelioma have come in the debate
between insurance companies, asbestos using companies and mesothelioma
cancer victims. Mesothelioma cancer laws allow any victim of asbestos
exposure at the workplace to file a lawsuit against their former
employers to seek compensation. Mesothelioma cancer laws also allow
victim’s families to file on behave of sick or deceased victims.

Mesothelioma legislation almost passed a bill allowing
the payout of millions of compensation dollars to mesothelioma
cancer patients over a period of time. However, the mesothelioma
cancer law was never successful.
There are still many attempts to revive the mesothelioma cancer
law, however, with so many mesothelioma cancer lawsuits going
on right now, it is highly unlikely the cancer law will go
through and be signed.
It is unfortunate that there would not need to be any mesothelioma
cancer laws if asbestos was prevented from contaminating building
materials to begin with. |
Now the mesothelioma cancer laws will hopefully give due compensation
to all mesothelioma cancer victims.
